Raja Merung selesai kerja,
Belayar menurut putera raja,
Terjumpa orang renang terkinja,
Baginda sedih bermuram durja.
Telah penat mereka mencari,
Sudah masuk berhari-hari,
Tanpa bayang puteranya diri,

Belayar ke timur ke Teluk Tanjung,
